THE SACRED ORDINARY

Meaning is not always found in the moments we try to hold onto, but in the ones that quietly hold us. It is the way the light falls on a flower, an object left in place, the doorway in and out of our life that carry traces of time, of presence, of absence, of the experiences all humans face.

I paint the details that form the backdrop of a life. The moments often overlooked while we are living it, yet charged with significance when we return to them in memory.

My work focuses on time and transition, using ordinary elements as the threshold to memories. They offer a way of returning, not to what was exactly, but to what is still felt. The viewer is invited to find a connection to their own experiences through the beauty of the ordinary.
